Fred has over 40 years experience of the building industry and contract administration. As a qualified Building Surveyor and with an excellent understanding and practical knowledge of building techniques, particularly in the Cotswold area, he plays an especially important part in the ability of Yiangou Architects to deliver quality buildings.

As head of our Technical department he oversees the production of the working drawings and the information needed by contractors to build our projects. He advises on all Contract issues, and supervises the site work and the quality of the finished buildings.

Fred is enthusiastically committed to ecologically sound and sustainable construction, and advises on such diverse issues as cob construction, the use of lime products, sheep's wool insulation, alternative energy, recycling of rain and grey water, alternative drainage methods and waste management.
