Peter Yiangou studied architecture at Natal University in South Africa and the Architectural Association in London. After working abroad and in Scotland, he set up in private practice in the Cotswolds in 1981 with his wife Alison.

It was important both to Peter and Alison to embody their own values in the ethos of the new practice:

"Our aim was to succeed not only in producing architecture of merit and delight, but to do so within an environment that combined creativity, professionalism, and good relationships."

On these foundations, the practice has been built into the successful enterprise it is today.
